GCB's Director Harry Baltzer To Retire

On Monday, May 15, 2000 at the monthly Gambling Control Board meeting
the Director of the Gambling Control Board, Harry Baltzer, announced his
intention to retire July 5, 2000 and that the governor had been
notified. Harry has served as Director of the Gambling Control Board
since being appointed by Governor Arne Carlson in early August 1991 to
replace Tom Anzelc.

Harry recently sold his home in Eden Prarie and will soon be taking up
residence in Florida (possibly because of better weather and taxes). He
also plans to spend considerably more time at his lake home up north.

Harry, we wish you the best of luck on whatever your future plans may
be and hope you will enjoy your retirement!!!
