Last year on Tuesday, September 16, 1997 100 participants joined us for the 4th Annual
ACM/MCCG Golf Tourney held at Pheasant Run Golf Club in Rogers, Minnesota. The
event brought together representatives from virtually all fields associated with charitable
gambling to raise money for the Minnesota Council On Compulsive Gambling (MCCG).
This special event, which unfortunately was rained out (thank goodness for rain checks),
turned out to be very successful as $6,500 (4-year total $19,500) was raised for the MCCG
Adolescent Compulsive Gambling Program.

We would again like to thank the 100 participants and the following who sponsored Tee
Boxes - Albert Lea Eagles Aerie #2258, American Games, Douglas Press, H & H Sales,
International Gamco, National Association of Fundraising Ticket Manufacturers
(NAFTM), Rochester Convention & Visitors Bureau, & St Cloud Area Convention &
Visitors Bureau.

A special thanks to the the Minnesota State Lottery who donated 30 dozen golf balls to be
used for the tourney.

For dinner we proceeded to the Medina Entertainment Center where we enjoyed a feast
which was sponsored by the Duluth Hospitality Industry. We offer thanks to the Duluth
Entertainment Convention Center (DECC), Duluth Convention and Visitors Bureau,
Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, Best Western Edgewater, Radisson Hotel Harborview, Canal
Park Inn, Motel 6, 2nd Home Suites, Inn On Lake Superior, Comfort Suites, Comfort
Inn, Hampton Inn, & Super 8 for a great dinner.

All in all even though the weather didn't cooperate it was a great day, with great people,
raising money for a great cause.
