Convention Center (DECC) and all hotels - including those added on
8/29/00

 If you previously made room reservations and will not be needing all
the rooms you originally booked, please call 1-800-438-5884 to release
or cancel extra rooms as soon as possible. Your cooperation is

A NOTE FROM KING WILSON - Please note that the last of the rooms in the
Original ACM Housing Block were used up on Monday, August 28, 2000. The
DCVB still has 60 - 70 reservation requests to process and will be using
additional rooms secured on 8/29/00. They will add additional hotels if
needed, as possible. We will be updating the ACM Hotline every Friday
evening with hotel availability.

  The request for rooms in Duluth has been phenomenal. There were
approximately 450 Reservation Forms requesting over 800 rooms mailed or
faxed on Monday, July 10, 2000. Unfortunately, this meant many of you
were unable to get your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or in some cases even your 4th
choice (basically, everyone had the same top choices). Reservations were
filled based on a random drawing as stated on the Reservation Form and
in the Lodging section of the Convention & Expo information materials.
Please do not call the DCVB and complain about your room assignment -
they just followed the procedures that ACM has used for years. Please
