The MN Department of Revenue is checking to ensure that every organization that is required by law to have an external annual audit (sales of $750,000 and greater) has done that.  If you are required to have one and have not already done so, you need to start that process.

Five star reports will be out soon.  Look for it to see your rating.

Still hearing that counterfeit bills are being passed in the Twin Cities metro. Some charities are now checking every bill twenty and above.

United Games is reportedly coming to MN.  United Games is an organization from Utah that is looking to bring a product to MN bars.  Their smart phone based offering appears to have elements of multi level marketing and some (if not all) elements of gambling. They are contacting bars and charities looking for partners in their program.  The MN Department of Public Safety and GCB are doing their due diligence on the product, but until they see it in actual operation a final determination as to whether it is gambling (and therefore illegal) will probably not be forthcoming.  We all wish that we could get more money for our chosen missions, but putting your gambling license or site license in jeopardy is probably not the thing to do. More to come on this as it is made available to us.

New Jersey is appealing the use of sports boards to the US Supreme Court. Other states are looking at entering the fray as well.  Professional leagues and teams are against us being able to have the use of sports boards, but they invest in Daily Fantasy Sports.  Go figure.

There is still time to apply for both Regional Director (Regions 1, 7, 8 and 9).  Applications are due November 7 .  Applications for the five 1 year At Large Director spots are due December 5.  Application can be found on the ACM website
