Lodging
This year we will again be using a Housing Bureau to process room
reservations. The St. Cloud Area Convention & Visitor's Bureau
will be
providing the ACM Housing Bureau. A St. Cloud Housing Bureau Reservation
Form is enclosed for your convenience (see white insert).
Reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis
based on
the postmark or fax date of the Housing request. Additional hotels
will
be added if needed. Priority for reservations with same postmark or
fax
date will be based on a random drawing. Please do not overbook - only
make reservations for rooms that you intend to use. A St. Cloud
Accommodations Update as of 8/30/99 can be found on page 16 of
July/August Newsletter.
To be assured of housing, please return the St. Cloud Housing
Bureau
Reservation Form as soon as possible. All reservations at ACM preferred
rate hotels must be made through the St. Cloud Area Convention &
Visitor's Bureau - delegates are required to send the St. Cloud Housing
Bureau Reservation Form to the St. Cloud Area Convention & Visitor's
Bureau to make reservations for their sleeping rooms (telephone
reservations and those sent directly to the hotel/motel for ACM blocked
rooms will not be accepted until after the cut-off date of: Friday,
October 29, 1999).
For additional St. Cloud Hotel Information please contact Joni
of the
St. Paul Convention & Visitor's Bureau at 320-251-2940 or 800-264-2940
(ext. 110).
Again, in fairness to others please do not overbook - only make
hotel
reservations for rooms that you intend to use.
Shuttle Service
Ground transportation will be provided throughout the show between
the
St. Cloud Civic Center and most ACM Convention Hotels. We are working
with the St. Cloud Area Convention and Visitors Bureau and local
transportation experts to develop the exact plan. Shuttle schedule
will
be mailed out in the ACM Pre-Convention Info packet.
Seminars & Workshops
Approximately 32 different topics will be offered at the Convention
&
Expo. Presenters will be experts from the Lawful Gambling industry,
including the Gambling Control Board and Department of Revenue. You
will
find the greatest collection of gambling related topics and
personalities available. Most topics will be presented twice so that
you
can take in as much as possible. Many topics will qualify for a gambling
managers continuing education requirement. Topics, descriptions, and
schedule appear on pages 10-16 of the July/August ACM Newsletter.
Exhibitors
Approximately 45 gaming suppliers and vendors from around the
state and
across the the country will display their latest products and services
at the Convention & Expo. See page 17 of Newsletter for current
exhibitor list.
