Golf Tourney & Dinner Banquet Raises $8,000 |
On Tuesday, September 21, 1999 144 golfers joined us for the 6th Annual
ACM/MCCG Golf Tourney held at Pheasant Acres Golf Club in Rogers, MN.
The event brought together representatives from virtually all fields
associated with lawful gambling to raise money for the Minnesota Council
On Compulsive Gambling. This special event turned out to be very
successful as $8,000 was raised for the Council's Adolescent Compulsive
Gambling Prevention Program. This brings our 5-year total to $34,500.
Taking first place in this fun-filled event was the team of Bernie
Biebighauser, John Cox, Paul Gabriel, & Paul Mample of the Kramer-Berg
American Legion Post 504. They are to be congratulated for a great
round
of golf.
Winners of the Golf Special Events were: Gary Miller for Mens
Closest
To The Pin; Marlene Nolan for Womens Closest To The Pin;
Marty
McDermott for Mens Longest Drive; Kitty Colgrove for Womens Longest
Drive; Ron Thill for Mens Longest Putt; & Ann Kaiser
