 1999 Statewide Meetings

1999 Statewide Regional Meetings

In September & October ACM's Board of Directors & ACM Executive
Director King Wilson for the eighth year will again be hosting an
important series of meetings throughout Minnesota. These meetings will
get you up-to-date with the latest developments concerning charitable
gambling today, and provide the important industry input necessary to
help ACM keep lawful gambling in Minnesota strong and viable into the
future.

Agenda

(All meetings will start at 7:00 p.m.)

   1. Welcome & Introductions
   2.  Allied Charities Of Minnesota Overview
   3.  1999 Minnesota Legislative Wrap-Up
   4. Federal Unrelated Business Income Tax (UBIT) Update
   5. Federal Excise Tax (Form 730 & 11-C) Update
   6. Gambling Control Board Rules Update
   7. Educating Your Legislators About Charitable Gambling
   8. 2000 Minnesota Legislative Planning
   9. The 9th Annual Minnesota Lawful Gambling Convention & Expo Update
 10. Charitable Gambling Questions, Comments, and Concerns

Of particular importance this year are the Federal Excise Tax Update
which deals with the IRS changes on "private inurement" & excise taxes,
and the Gambling Control Board Rules Update which deals with the
controversial proposed pull-tab manufacturing rules which we believe
will have a dramatic negative impact on the sale of pull-tabs in
Minnesota.

These meetings are open to anyone involved or interested in charitable
gambling and it's future in Minnesota. Your participation is needed, and
we hope you will be able to attend. Please be sure to let others in your
organization and/or company know about these important meetings, and
encourage them to attend with you.
