25% Lawful Gambling

Tax Reduction Proposed

On Friday, November 21, 1997 Allied Charities of Minnesota Members unanimously approved the ACM Board of Directors legislative proposal that ACM's 1998 Legislative Priority be a 25% Lawful Gambling Tax Reduction.

The proposal would change Minnesota's Lawful Gambling Taxes as follows:

 This proposal would provide

an additional $16,000,000

for lawful purposes expenditures around the state.

To have any chance for a lawful gambling tax reduction in 1998 it is imperative that lawful gambling organizations, their members, and donation recipients immediately begin contacting their local Minnesota State Representatives and Senators now to let them know that something needs to be done about Minnesota's current (and excessive) lawful gambling tax system in 1998.
